I help build websites as copywriter and content strategist from initial strategic concepts on through to production and follow-up (eg., through transaction- and marketing-based emails). I also create copy for print projects, newsletters, user interface applications, white papers, articles and case studies while incorporating web usability and SEO tenets where appropriate.

I began writing for websites in 2001.I was hired by Blue Shield of California as its first web copywriter. I worked with an experienced team of web professionals across the entire web production cycle for the launch of its first major website.

As an English Lit major, I decided I could help companies dot their i's and cross their t's and in 2004 I struck out on my own to help companies write good copy. I also wanted to get involved with all the components of developing great websites.

Then I married my husband, the smartest man I know with an impeccable grasp of the English language, and my writing skills only got better. Not only do we use our dictionaries as door stops, but we actually open them up and refer to them when we get into geeky arguments.

It's hard to live with somebody who consistently answers 93% of "Jeopardy" questions. But like I said, my husband has made me a more polished writer. And he plays the guitar for me when I cook, so I put up with it.

I've morphed into an experienced, level headed worker over the past few years. Companies appear to want multitasking employees. I am continually being called upon to perform a variety of duties and I believe that a multitasking day is a good (and more rewarding) working day.

I read many digital magazines that focus on current technologies and web trends, I attend many webinars, I receive several technology news letters, and I browse, browse, browse and buy, buy, buy on the internet.

We bought a house and got a dog. She's a pit bull mix and she's beautiful. My husband prefers that we say, "American Staffordshire Terrier." Her name is Honeygirl and she is a loving beast.

In my spare time I have dinner parties. The best part about cooking is when people eat my food, don't talk for 30 minutes and go back for seconds. Pure bliss!
